ABOUT SURAT JEWELLERY MANUFACTURERS' ASSOCIATION
Established in 2016 in Surat and registered under the Trust Act (Mumbai) 1950, Section-29 and the Society Registration Act 1860, Section-21, SJMA is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering and advancing the jewellery manufacturing ecosystem. Surat, celebrated worldwide as the heart of craftsmanship and creativity, provides the perfect foundation for our vision.
With more than 150 respected jewellery manufacturing companies as members, SJMA stands as a collective voice committed to promoting, supporting, protecting, and developing the industry. We act as a bridge between heritage and progress, ensuring that Surat’s jewellery legacy continues to evolve in line with global standards of innovation and excellence.
One of our proudest initiatives is “Make in Surat” — a movement designed to strengthen the city’s position as a global design and manufacturing hub. Through this initiative, we seek to attract investment, encourage innovation, nurture talent, safeguard intellectual property, and build trust in jewellery manufacturing of the highest standard. It reflects our belief that Surat is not only the engine of India’s jewellery sector but also a rising leader on the world stage.
